About

Wolf Island Provincial Park is a 222-hectare natural environment park established in 1985. The island features Paleozoic limestone outcroppings alongside Precambrian bedrock, glacier-carved striations, and varied vegetation including swamp forest, mixed and deciduous forest, and open rockland. The park has no road access and is reachable only by boat. The park is a non-operating facility with no staffed activities or amenities, though some crown land campsites exist and are partially connected by trails. It is located approximately 35 km north of Peterborough via Highway 28, between Lower Buckhorn and Lovesick Lakes, near the Trent-Severn Waterway.
