About

The Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame is a volunteer-operated, non-profit institution located within the Peterborough Memorial Centre. Established in 1979, it honours athletes and builders with direct ties to the City or County of Peterborough, and houses approximately 4,000 square feet of exhibit space containing over 10,000 items of sports memorabilia and artifacts dating to the mid-1800s. Visitors can browse exhibits, photographs, and inductee profiles representing roughly 150 years of local sports history. The Hall also hosts an annual induction ceremony each June, offers educational archives for school and club groups, and administers an annual bursary program for graduating Peterborough County secondary school students.
