Kawartha Country Wines is a family-owned winery situated on 22 acres in Buckhorn, Ontario, in the Kawarthas region. The winery operates from an 1866 pioneer log cabin and an 1889 board and batten house, and offers over 60 wines, ciders, and coolers made from locally grown fruits. A complimentary sampling bar is available on site, and the winery is open seven days a week. In addition to its beverages, the business sells gourmet preserves, sauces, pepper jellies, and fruit vinaigrettes made on site, as well as a gift shop featuring products from local makers including maple syrup, honey, candles, shortbread, and dips. The property includes an orchard and planted grounds with raspberries, black currants, red currants, grapes, and rhubarb.
